Perfect for up to six guests, this two-bedroom retreat offers a blend of rustic charm and modern amenities, making it an ideal home base for fishing, hunting, family fun, or a romantic escape. With Montana’s famed Blue Ribbon trout stream just steps away and a nearby National Wildlife Refuge teeming with wildlife and walking trails, every day promises a new outdoor adventure. Plus, you’re only about a mile’s walk (or a few minutes’ drive) from the historic downtown of Stevensville, where you’ll find local shops and dining.

Lovingly renovated in 2021, the cottage was updated to maximize both functionality and natural light. Warm hardwood floors, a classic brick fireplace (for aesthetics only), and brand-new furnishings come together in a laid-back, rustic-meets-modern Montana style. The heart of the living area features an oversized leather sectional and a large dining table, creating a welcoming space for meals, board games, puzzles, or simply gathering with loved ones. The well-appointed kitchen, though compact, includes everything you’ll need to prepare meals—whether you’re dining inside or enjoying the riverfront grounds outside.

A Four-Season Destination
Every season offers something special in the Bitterroot Valley. Rent gear from local shops or hire a guide to enhance your trip. Spend your days hiking, biking, floating the river, hunting, or experiencing the region’s vibrant local culture. If you’d rather relax, simply sit back and watch the changing light dance across the water.

Location & Accessibility
The cottage sits along a peaceful stretch of Stevensville River Road, paralleling the Bitterroot River. This gently traveled road is great for walks, runs, or bike rides, even for families with strollers or those seeking flat, hard-surfaced paths. With easy parking and a rural setting, you’ll enjoy tranquility while staying close to town.

Please note:

• Outdoor Fire Ring: We’ve provided a fire ring (and dry wood) so you can gather under the stars. The indoor brick fireplace is not functional.
• River Safety: The Bitterroot River is dynamic and can be dangerous, especially at high flow levels. There’s no fenced yard, so please watch children and pets closely by the water.
